John 9 
JOHN 9:1-41
Jesus and the Blind Beggar


I. JESUS SEES A MAN BLIND FROM BIRTH  9:1

The ___________ and all-seeing Son of God sets His eyes upon a man who had been born blind and had no capacity to ____ Him.

The fact that the man was born blind is symbolic of the fact that all men are born into this world __________ blind in ____; having no capacity to see Jesus.

II. JESUS EXPLAINS WHY THE MAN WAS BORN BLIND 9:2-5

Physical disease, defects, sickness, suffering, and death can all be traced back to the _____ of man into ____.

Jesus said that the man was born blind for a _________.

III. JESUS HEALS THE MAN BORN BLIND 9:6-7

VII. THE PHARISEES TRY TO DISCREDIT JESUS 9:17-23

The healed man was advancing in his understanding of who Jesus was. He knew that Jesus must at least be a _________.

Out of the _________ of their hearts the Pharisees refused to believe the healed man’s report and so called his _________ to testify as to what happened.

Anyone who would openly recognize Jesus as the _________, God’s Anointed, would be put out of the synagogue (excommunicated and considered a pagan); cut off from the religious and social life of Israel.

VIII. THE PHARISEES REFUSE TO BELIEVE THE TRUTH 9:24-34

IX. THE HEALED BLIND MAN BELIEVES 9:35-38
